Brainwave offers a range of sessions from two hours to a full day designed to help parents and whanau understand what children need for the best start in life. Providing practical advice about what really matters in the early years, these sessions support parents and whanau to make positive choices for their tamariki.
Your session will be tailored to the needs of your group, their experiences and circumstances. Brainwave can also offer specifically developed sessions for groups of whanau who have experienced trauma or live in vulnerable communities, high school students and young parents.
Tiakina te Tamaiti is a half day interactive workshop developed for Maori, by Maori exploring the latest science on brain development woven together with matauranga Maori to help our tamariki thrive.
We are incredibly grateful to have the support of our philanthropic supporters the Wright Family Foundation and Sir Thomas and Lady Duncan who enable us to offer many of these sessions at subsidised or no cost.
‘’On behalf of our Wellington Fijian community, I wanted to say a huge thank you / vinaka vakalevu to you for your stunning presentation. The participants thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of your presentation and many were moved by the information that you shared about brain development in the early years of life. We were also moved by the personal stories that you shared about yourself, and your culturally appropriate, Pacific-friendly approach was a bonus. All the best with your work and we look forward to having you back in the near future.’’
