Description

 

He Hīkoi Mahara is an interactive wānanga where whānau journey through their own positive stories of childhood and parenting in a safe and supportive space. Together, participants reflect on the rich histories and practices of our tūpuna, with tikanga and values guiding the kōrero. Stories, whakataukī, and mātauranga Māori help whānau to reconnect with traditions that continue to nurture tamariki and strengthen whānau today.

  • Half-day (4 hours) wānanga
  • He Hīkoi Māhara can be offered as a prelude to one of our other half-day (4 hours) ao Māori workshops, combining to create a full-day (8 hours) wānanga + workshop.
