Description
Te Pā Tū Rangatira is designed through an ao Māori lens for kaimahi and professionals who support tamariki and their whānau. Drawing on the imagery of the pā tū rangatira – a strong, protective pā encircling its people – this workshop explores what it takes to collectively safeguard and nurture tamariki wellbeing and development.
The pā – built on the fertile whenua of mātauranga Māori, enlivened and inspired by wairua, and supported by western science – represents the relationships, values, and environments that help tamariki grow to stand strong in their mana motuhake. Participants reflect on how whānau, kaimahi, and communities can be part of that collective strength, upholding whakapapa, tapu, mana and mauri, and fostering resilience.
